Comic Book Friday: Great comic art that tells the characters stories with the color, text and depth.
Shadow art is some of my favorite stuff when it comes to iconic characters. Wish someone would do illustrations like this for wrestlers. These all do an amazing job dealing with depth perception like how Venom is breaking through the web or Green Lantern is shining behind the letters. A bit tough to choose my favorite but I guess I’ll put Flash as my least favorite since it is so plain.

Comic Book Friday: Can’t wait for Dr. Crane to return
Scarecrow is by far one of my favorite villains in Batman. This Halloween I dressed like him with a Asylum badge, potato fabric and everything. Crane for sure is going to be in this one.
The question is how much will he be featured. He was one of two main villains in the first but barely enough time to control the game. Actually despite having shorter film time I liked what Scarecrow was doing in Dark Knight, running his own drug gang.
Wonder if in this new one if Crane will be running the Asylum as a patient. The dude has powerful mind skills.

Comic Book Friday: Those rings multiplied fast huh?
I’m a Lantern fan but I have to admit that I only know 4 of these 9 rings. Not saying I haven’t read at least read one graphic novel with these rings being used at least once but I just can’t tell you off the top of my head what they all mean. In the Blackest Night graphic novel, all these rings were introduced an emergency measure. I could understand the need of bringing in a new ring when the original has failed but this was overkill.
Not sure why DC loves doing their multi-verse thing but in can get hella annoying. I always thought it was just to create backups in case something had to be killed but DC doesn’t kill any of their entities unless it was known by virtually no one.
Here’s what I know:

Have been catching up Catwoman, Batwoman & Batgirl and seems like they all have freaking roommates or BBF, they can hang out with in their pajamas. This is almost never associated with the male characters. Sometimes Drake has friends at school but that’s about it. There is nothing wrong with showing a soft side to these characters but there should be a balance.

Actually I really liked how Batgirl was using fear to over her mirror nemesis. Don’t even think I’ve seen Batman do that in a bit.
