Comic Book Friday: Dang straight it isn’t fair we get no more Damian
Damian’s common catch phrase used for whining is the perfect expression of all of his fans after his passing. I still can’t believe it myself. Morrison explained that it was a part a story package but I don’t care. Guess he was afraid another author would damage the character.

“It isn’t fair.”

Comic Book Friday: Amazing contrast on Cameron Stewart’s Damian Wayne(Robin) penciling
The shade, detail and proportions are all great here. My favorite part of this is the emotion is so appropriate for Damian’s face. Actually I really dig the hair too. It’s thick but it doesn’t look like a wig.
Since Damian has recently passed, I should do a tribute post soon with the link of all my Damian Wayne post and probably a rant on how upset I am about it.

Anything Wednesday: Probably my favorite Ex-girlfriend tattoo cover-up
The phrase ‘she’s dead to me’ is shown in the ultimate symbolism here. One tattoo I know I’ll never get is one repping a girl friend. Too risky.  Maybe after 5 years of marriage I’ll think about it.  The artist who came up with this idea is brilliant not too much blacking out or other ridiculous obvious cover ups.
Also, facial tattoos are a joke anyways.  Some from of details always come out wrong.  It’s no one’s fault really. Techniques like shading and contrast never come out on skin as well as they do one paper.

Comic book Friday: Azreal would not be stopping the Punisher in a tie-up
This is an interesting teamup poster. These are both companies B level guys.  It’s hard to tell from this cover but it looks like Azreal is trying to stop Punisher. The only story I’ve seen featuring Azreal was Knightfall, where he had to save Gotham from Bane but went too far. By going too far, I mean he broke Batman’s no killing rule.
Just a quick note, how could Batman let him go?  At the end of Knightfall, Batman realizes it wasn’t his fault but he still shouldn’t have let him go.  Send that dude to the Asylm.
Oh well, the cover isn’t that obvious and it’s hard to tell if Azreal is attacking Punisher or if he’s attacking whoever Punisher is shooting. Not sure how much more you can do to a guy after he’s shot but maybe the voice in Jean Paul’s head can help him that.

Comic Book Friday: Those rings multiplied fast huh?

I’m a Lantern fan but I have to admit that I only know 4 of these 9 rings.  Not saying I haven’t read at least read one graphic novel with these rings being used at least once but I just can’t tell you off the top of my head what they all mean.  In the Blackest Night graphic novel, all these rings were introduced an emergency measure.  I could understand the need of bringing in a new ring when the original has failed but this was overkill.

Not sure why DC loves doing their multi-verse thing but in can get hella annoying.  I always thought it was just to create backups in case something had to be killed but DC doesn’t kill any of their entities unless it was known by virtually no one.

Here’s what I know:

  • Green - willpower
  • Yellow - fear(Sinestro Corps)
  • Red - rage
  • White - Ridiculous super powers but only one wearer at a time.  They have to be prestigious enough to deserve it.  Batman even wore this at one point.

_________________________________________________________

Ones I had to look up.

  • Black - death; guess this ring just kills people
  • Violet - Love; I knew this had something to do with Starphire and should’ve assumed that since it’s a women using it, it had to be love.
  • Blue - Hope
  • Indigo - healing?
  • Orange - Greed

Manga Sunday: Onion boy; not dead soon enough
I know what you mean.  This dude was hell ugly. Didn’t seem to be human and couldn’t be something they trust.  May seem brutal like the character who blew his arm off but usually when people or in this case things don’t start making sense something is going to go wrong making one think about hindsight.  He was asking for onion and than he’s offering them when desperate.  How much are those things worth to him? All he talked about was onions and he smelt like onions.  Nothing good has ever come from onions.
Just got Gantz earlier this week and was expecting it to be a pointless gorefest but I am now intrigued.  There is a large mystery to it.  Even the main character at first just seemed out of the norm and something special.  Usually you don’t start a story with an @$$hole character like that.  Why are they there?  I’m Gantz spends a million books giving subtle hints.  Oh well.  I’m ready for it.
One thing I don’t like is the suit.  Pretty sure every is going to figure out how helpful it will be and all look like generic laser tag players.  Oh well

Anything Wednesday: Tumblr is the first to teach me about forensics
After watching shows like Homicide and Dexter I never take away anything that could be useful if I was going into a crime scene.  Not really planing on doing so but it’s nice to learn rather than be wasted with drama.
It would make sense the blood would be on the feet in they were standing otherwise it would miss the foot completely or bigger blotches on the heel.  Kind of a guesstimate but it’s nice trying to understands things rather than take someone’s word for granted.
forensicsandpathology:

Blood spatter on the foot indicting that the decedent had been upright for at least some time following injury before they died.

Has anyone else realised that a major death in Dexter is due this year?

TV Show: Dexter expecting a death

I’ve thought about this awhile ago.  Not too sure who it could be.  After Doakes died, the show was pretty quick to push it under the rug because the awkwardness of the characters knowing a killer at a Police Depart.  Rita on the other hand still seems to be a fresh topic.

Rita be dead

Her death has defined Dexter’s character.  Reason I bring this up is because it may hinder the chance of the show following the small pattern.  If someone does get killed I’m not sure who would be a good choice.  For Laguerta, if they really want her off they could just give her less screen time.  We never really seen the cpt before she got the spot.  I’m excited all the same that this season has a much higher possibility of the show getting a big change again but it’s not needed to make it good.

I want to go in why Rita’s death wasn’t worth it but I have to make a pt. 2 about that post later.

domo-arigato-mr-scotto:

If they keep the same pattern, something is bound to happen at the end of the season!

Season 2 - Doakes

Season 4 - Rita

Season 6 - ???? (Please be LaGuerta. Please be LaGuerta. Please be LaGuerta.)
